Linux Client - Splashtop Personal - No Deployed Computers?

Hi,

I'm implementing Splashtop Streamer on the computers for support purposes, tested some of them installing manually (user & password) and most of them installing in deployment mode. Out tech staff use Linux, so I'm interested on accessing the machines using it. My first test with Splashtop Personal was fine, but when I started installing in deployment mode, those machines doesn't show up in Splashtop Personal, only that ones installed with user & pass. All of them appear in my web console, but not in Splashtop Personal. Is it supposed to happen? Is there anything to do about? Do you have any foresight to a new Linux client or web client? I'm really interested in Splashtop as our central tool for remote support, but the lack of a new to access the Streamers from Linux is going to be a block.

Thanks,

Diego Viegas

  • Good luck..  Look at the "About" on the Linux streamer in your task manager.... it says copyright 2010-2012.  Since that was 3 years ago, I doubt they care the slightest about Linux.  Truthfully, if you aren't an educational client, I doubt if they care at all.  Try Teamviewer or Screenconnect, they work just fine in Linux.
