Persistant toolbar that does not overlay on the remote screen.
My LMI subscription is finally running out and I'm spending more and more time in Splashtop. Over all, pretty great, that said:
I'm constantly entering and leaving the toolbar on iOS and the desktop. Using LMI as an example, their handy little toolbar is always available. Making those often used items like ctl+alt+del, monitor switching, etc immediately available. And best of all it is NOT overlaid on the screen!
The same issue goes double for the desktop version. File transfer, chat, and whiteboard are great features and should accessible at all times and NEVER in an overlay. Remote monitor switching is also a bit of a nightmare. I have a client with 4 screens. Every time I open an app or window that I can't find, it's click after click after click to locate it on whichever screen it appeared on!
I didn't realize how much this one little change negatively impacts usability, but it sure does.

@Peet,
Thanks for the suggestion and the detailed usage scenario sharing!
We planned to redesign the control menu, your suggestions "not overlay" and "should be accessible all the time" also make sense and are really helpful. I will make sure the development team aware of these requests.
Please stay tuned!
@Support
I'm still tuned. How is this coming?
Thanks.Peet
Also interested in this. Pin it open with a thumbtack button or something and SOME kind of way to make it not overlay as I've had issues as a reseller when supporting someone who is themselves remote - they're remoted into their work computer, but when I remote into them I can't even see the toolbar pull-down because my own is hiding theirs.
+1
I agree I have thought about having a thumb tack to pin it at times.
All,
Apologies for all the delay. We have the initial design and are trying to schedule dev resources to implement. We're shooting for first half of this year.
Your suggestions and ideas are much appreciated.
Phil
