Idle session timeout not working

For some reason, even though I have the "idle session timeout" set to 10 minutes, if I don't manually disconnect, it will stay connected even when idle for hours. Is anyone else having this issue? This happens if I'm remoting in from a Windows or a Mac (to my Windows pc)

One of our users is also experiencing this issue; Splashtop has been updated, uninstalled/re-installed, and the Idle Session Timeout period adjusted to multiple values.
Has anyone had any success troubleshooting this?
User connects from both a Mac and Windows PC to a Windows 10 PC.
