Splashtop Login Failed: The certificate for this server is invalid
This morning, I awoke to find that my Splashtop Business session from yesterday had been terminated (I’d been logged out) during the night. When I try logging in again now, I get the following message:
Splashtop Login Failed
The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “st-v3-stb-src-mac-3420.api.splashtop.com” which could put your confidential information at risk.
Googling the error message yields absolutely nothing. Not a single hit that includes both "splashtop" and "the certificate for this server is invalid". The Splashtop status page says no incidents have been reported.
Since this would appear to be talking about a certificate on a Splashtop server, I’m guessing it’s not an issue with my machine – but what is it, and can it be fixed?
Oddly, validating the SSL certificate through SSL Shopper’s SSL Checker, I’m told that the certificate is valid (a wildcard certificate for *.api.splashtop.com issued by GoDaddy on 1 February 2021) and should be trusted by all browsers. So it doesn’t seem like it’s the regular SSL certificate itself – perhaps a different certificate?
(I’m running Splashtop Business 3.4.2.0 on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 – since I can’t connect, I don’t know whether this is affecting our other machines as well.)

This exact same thing is happening to me right now. Not sure why. Any solution?
@Felipe
No, I never found an actual solution or discovered what was wrong. It just went away on its own later that same day or the day after and hasn’t happened again since.
