How do I keep Splashtop running so I can access the computer after logoff?
I am finding I need to have the computer logged in for Splashtop to come online. THis is not very good in a corporate environment. I wanted to switch users and when I log off the connection drops and then I cannot reconnect because Splashtop client does not show the computer and online.

@Stuff,
Does it mean the the remote connection will drop after idle for some time? Does the issue happen on a particular computer or every target computers you have?
Please also upgrade your Streamer to 2.6.5.10 (http://www.splashtop.com/downloads) to see if it solves the issue.
@Stuff,
The original post here wants the have the remote connection ability to a logged-off computer. I don't think it is the same case you mentioned.
We tried to understand what the issue is and this is what we got for now:
"There are times when i cannot connect even though the computer is on because of some video issue or it is been idle too long."
Please help to provide more info so we could address the issue:
1. Does it mean if a computer is idle for a long time, it will not be able to establish a remote connection to this computer? When you saw this issue, the computer is online or offline in your computer list?
2. Does it happen at every computers you have or only on a particular one?
3. Please let me know the version of the streamer on this culprit computer. Or please let me know the name of the computer having issue.
We will try to root the cause as soon as possible.
@Technology,
What version of the streamer do you have on the culprit computer now? Please let me know the name of the computer having issue.
@Technology,
Please use the streamer 3.0.0.3 on the culprit computers/servers, this version of streamer runs as a service on your Windows. You could click the deployment link generated before to get the 3.0.0.3 deployment streamer.
If the issue still happens, please help to collect splog.txt at C:\Program Files (x86)\Splashtop\Splashtop Remote\Server\log\ and let me know the timestamp you saw the issue. I will work with the engineering team to address the issue.
@Stuff,
If you are using 2.6.5.x version of streamer, it will need to re-establish the remote session when Windows user changed. Please use 3.0.0.3. You could click the deployment link generated before to get the 3.0.0.3 deployment streamer.
You could also refer to https://support-splashtopbusiness.splashtop.com/entries/62163074 for more details.
Changing resolution during remote sessions will not disconnect the remote session.
However, we recommend that you should select the resolution you want to use when establishing a remote session but not during remote sessions so we could draw the display fitting your screen.
We will see if that works. That version streamer was not available when we initially had the problem. We were remoting into several computers that required switching accounts often and it was driving my team crazy dropping the connection all the time.
I would like to go back and edit some of the sarcasm out of previous posts. I know you guys are doing your best to help. Frustration occasionally overcomes some of the guys around here and they leave rude comments. I find some of our comments unprofessional and unhelpful and would like to be able to edit them.

@Stuff,
It needs admin account to edit the comment. It is ok, we understand how frustrating it would be when seeing such issue happened.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you saw the issue again after trying new version of the streamer. I would like to work with you and the engineering team solving the issue.
Thank you in advance for your help!
