Multiple Windows Users on a single terminal
Trying to figure out splashtops capabilities and I am having an issue accessing a terminal with multiple users.
I installed splashtop streamer into the admin account but if another user is logged into that terminal I cannot access the terminal via splashtop.
In splashtop business it shows the terminal as greyed out and gives the option to "wake" the pc.
Is there a workaround or a solution for situations like this because I cannot give my users admin access and even then I may need to fix an issue on their account.
Thanks!

Currently the Streamer login is only bound to an individual Windows user profile, rather than across the entire system. You could login to each Windows user account and logging in the Streamer with the same Splashtop account. This will make that computer name also appear multiple times in the Splashtop client computer list, with the currently logged in user profile entry showing up as online, and the other user accounts showing up as offline.
Due to many recent similar requests, we are modifying our Streamer installation package to give the user the option of binding the Streamer to the entire system or just to the individual Windows user profile.
Look for this update to be released by beginning of next week.
You will need to do an uninstall of any pre-existing Streamer, and then a clean installation in order to be presented with that option…
That is great news.
Where is the best place to keep an eye out for when the new streamer launches? Thanks!
This functionality is now available. You can download and install the "deployable streamer" or simply install the streamer package with "All users". For security reasons, this streamer will auto-lock any logged in accounts ask for your password to unlock the window.
Hi, can you please explain the last comment. If I install Splashtop Business on a clients Server 2008 Terminal Server will RDS users need my Splashtop password to log on to their Windows session?? If I remote into the TS Server using Splashtop how will that affect RDS users? Thanks.

Hi,
Understand this is an old thread but is exactly my situation and no response from Support to the last question asked.
So to repeat it in my situation:
"does this mean that if I install Splashtop to the Terminal Server, any time I log in to it via Splashtop it automatically locks out any other users currently logged in?"
That is in no way a viable support alternative to Logmein for me. I look after one particular client with 50 RDP users into their Terminal Server. Everyone will be mighty cheesed off if I login in to simply check something for one user, and everyone else has to sit patiently twiddling their thumbs before they can re access their sessions.
12 months on is there an alternative to this restriction?
Thanks
@Greg,
With current Streamer, it will connect to console session and should not lock out any other users currently logged in. (Please uncheck Require Windows login password and Enable lock screen option at Streamer.)
And since there will be also other RDP sessions on target computers, we suggest that you should use our beta build Streamer. Please you could refer to https://support-splashtopbusiness.splashtop.com/entries/62163074 for more details.
How is the beta progressing?
Will this update include the feature to switch between viewing the console session and the RDP/RDS sessions?
@Jim,
The new generation of streamer will be available in one or two weeks.
It will guarantee to connect to a server reliably, but only to console session.
I tried v3.0.3 and after I install the streamer I lost all access to the server console. Using Windows Server 2008 (not R2) 32-bit.
