Starting February 24, 2026, we are rolling out an update to how navigation is organized in the Splashtop web portal (Global / EU / OC) to make it easier to access key sections as the portal continues to grow.
This update affects navigation layout only. All features, permissions, and workflows remain the same.
Overview of the navigation update
Previously, most navigation options were located in the top menu:
With this update, navigation is now organized in a left-side menu:
This approach keeps commonly used sections visible and reduces the need to navigate through multiple layers as additional features are introduced over time.
Navigation options that were previously located in the top menu will be moved to a left-side navigation menu. Key sections will continue to be available, with some adjustments to how they are grouped:
-
Core sections such as Computers, Logs, and Management will appear in the left navigation
-
Some items previously grouped under Management will now be listed directly in the left navigation, including:
- Software
- Security
- Automation
- Settings (Team Settings)
- Service Desk (If it's available in your subscription)
-
Billing now has a direct entry in the left navigation. Previously, billing-related pages were accessed through the user menu and the Subscriptions page.
These changes are intended to make frequently used sections easier to locate and reduce the need to navigate through multiple levels.
To help ensure a smooth transition, it is important to emphasize that this update changes only where items are located instead of how they work.
No features are being removed
Existing roles, permissions, and configurations remain unchanged
Policies, deployment behavior, and access scopes continue to function exactly as before
Workflows and functionality stay the same; only the navigation location has been updated
Users can continue performing their regular daily tasks in the same way they always have, with the same results and system behavior.
As the Splashtop web portal continues to evolve, organizing navigation in a left-side menu helps create a more structured and intuitive experience.
This approach allows us to:
Support continued product growth in a clean and organized way
Provide a consistent navigation experience across pages and screen sizes
Keep important areas visible and easy to reach
Help users build familiarity through stable menu placement
With this foundation, we can continue introducing enhancements while keeping the interface clear and predictable.
No action is required.
Once the update is available, you may wish to take a moment to review the new navigation layout and become familiar with where sections are located.
