Levels of Control
Team Owners, and in some cases Super Admins, can configure the default feature permissions per user role (Admin, Group Admin, and Member).
To do this:
- Navigate to Management > Settings
- Locate the section labelled Feature Configuration
- Enable or disable features per role
This determines which features new users will have access to by default when they join the team.
For example, if both Admin and Member are checked under Attended Access, new users in those roles will have Attended Access automatically enabled unless this is overridden at the group or user level.
Override defaults for specific groups:
- Go to Management > Users
- Click the three dots next to a group and select Group granular control...
- Set features to one of the following:
On: Explicitly enabled
Off: Explicitly disabled
Default: Follow team-wide defaults
Note: If a user or admin is moved to a different group, their Granular Control settings will automatically reflect the configurations of the new group unless an individual override is applied afterward.
Override defaults for a specific user(s):
- Go to Management > Users
- Click the three dots next to a user and select User granular control...
- Set features to one of the following:
On: Explicitly enabled
Off: Explicitly disabled
Follow group: Inherit from group settings
Default: Follow team-wide defaults
You can also click directly on the feature icons shown next to the user's profile under Granular Control to toggle access for each feature. Clicking the icon will enable or disable that specific permission for the user, offering a quick way to adjust settings without opening the full configuration panel.
Admin Configurable Access
By default, only the Owner of the team can view and manage Granular Controls. Even Admins and Super Admins do not see these options unless explicitly granted access.
To allow Admins or Super Admins to configure Granular Control:
- Go to Management > Users
- Click the three dots next to the Admin's name
- Select User granular control...
- Grant permission for configuring Granular Controls
- Go to Management > Users > Groups
- Click the three dots next to the target group
- Select Group granular control...
- Grant permission for configuring Granular Controls
Once this permission is granted at the group level, any Admin or Super Admin moved into the group will automatically inherit the ability to manage the specified granular controls.
If you're not seeing Granular Control settings as an Admin, check with the team Owner to ensure the necessary permissions are granted.
