Splashtop Enterprise - License Type

Splashtop Enterprise offers flexible licensing which includes Remote Support licensing and Remote Access licensing.

Remote Support(Technician) License

Remote Support license is mainly for attended access, endpoint management and unattended access usage. It is licensed per concurrent technician which allows for 10 named licenses and 300 managed endpoints.

Remote Access(End-User) License

Remote Access license is mainly for unattended access. It is licensed per user which allows for 1 named license and 10 endpoints.

Note: a user can only be associated to one type of license.

How to configure License Type?

A user's License Type can be selected when they are invited to the team, or modified on Users page.

Under Management → Users, you can configure license type for multiple users by clicking Actions -> Change License Type.

To configure per individual user, click the user’s gear icon -> Change License Type.

Advanced features

Remote Support license type is required for a user to enable Attended access, 1-to-Many Script, Remote Command features.

A user’s granular settings can be determined by default when they are invited to the team via Default Granular Settings, or configured via User Granular Settings after joined the team. See this article for more details: Granular Control

 

Notifications

The following notifications will appear on Users page when the total number of assigned licenses exceeds your cap. Please adjust your license distribution to prevent disruptions.

When the number of Remote Support(Technician) license exceeds, you can switch users who don't need Remote Support licenses to Remote Access(End-User) licenses or disable them.

When the number of Remote Access(End-User) license exceeds, you can select users who don't need Remote Access licenses, then disable them.
