How do I export my Authenticator to a new phone for 2FA?

This article shows how to export your authenticator from your current phone to your new phone so that you can log into your account without interruption.

When getting a new phone, it's best to export the accounts in your current authenticator on your current phone to your new phone. If you do so, then you can use the codes on your new phone to log into Splashtop, and you won't need to reset your 2FA or use your recovery codes.

Duo Mobile

For Duo Mobile, you can export your account from your old phone to your new phone. However, after transferring to your new phone, Duo requires an extra step to verify the account. In order to verify, you will need to re-scan the QR code to start getting the six digit authentication codes again. Since the QR code is needed again, the export process for Duo doesn't work for Splashtop.

If you are using Duo, please login to your account and turn off 2FA to set it up on your new phone, or make sure you have your recovery codes on hand.
