Logging in to a Local User Account on a Domain Computer

Requirements

  • Splashtop Business App version 3522+

Logging in as a Local User

Splashtop now allows you to login to a Local User Account on a computer that is a part of the Domain without the need to change the Domain field. We can now recognize the login of a local account by using the ".\" indicator.

To login as a local user, enter the credentials as ".\Username".

The ".\" will tell the computer that it is a local user account.

If your Business App is not updated to version 3522+, you will see the following error.

In the latest Business App version 3522+, you should be able to login successfully using ".\Username" to indicate that it is a local user account.
