  2. You can configure the default FPS settings (up to Ultra High which is 60 FPS) for all your remote connections.

Note:

  • Once you change the Profile setting in a session from the session toolbar,, the change will be saved for all the remote sessions to the same remote computer moving forward.
  • If you subscribe to the product in the list which should have the option but not seeing this option, usually it is because your hardware does not support H265.
Profile options - General profiles
  1. Open the Splashtop Business App, open the Files dropdown then go to Options / Advanced tab. (Or Splashtop Business dropdown then go to Preference / Advanced tab if on a Mac)

  2. You can configure the default Profile settings for all your remote connections.
    • Best Quality: Use this option when your hardware/internet resource is good enough to maintain a high-quality remote session. For the remote session itself, we suggest 10MBps internet download/upload speeds and a minimum of the video hardware listed below, as well as the latest driver for the hardware.
      NVIDIA : GeForce GTX 1050 / 1050 Ti
AMD : Radeon Rx 300 series (Volcanic Islands)
      INTEL : HD graphics 500 series (Skylake - CPU 6000 series )

You would also need to consider the bandwidth and hardware resources that other applications are using during the remote session.
    • Original: Default option.
    • Best Speed: Use this option on a limited network environment, e.g., the upload of your remote device has 1 or 2 Mbps or less internet speed. (You can check your current internet speed by visiting https://www.speedtest.net/.)

Note:

Once you change the Profile setting in a session from the session toolbar, the change will be saved for all the remote sessions to the same remote computer moving forward.

Profile options - YUV 444 (Enterprise team only)
The default streaming video in Splashtop remote sessions is YUV 420 color space. With YUV 444 color space, it will improve the color clarify and accuracy, meaning it can show more details in an image; however, it also means more bandwidth will be used. In Splashtop, the Best Quality with YUV 444 will consume 2-4 Mbps more bandwidth depending on your network speed and bandwidth.

Requirements:

  • Splashtop Enterprise team
  • (Windows only) Splashtop Business app and streamer v3.5.2.2 or later.
    • NVIDIA: GTX 1050 or above with H265 (You will need to check H265 option, which will be available later)
    • Software: Software encode / decode with H264

Meaning if you select Best Quality with YUV 444 support but not using a supported NV graphic, it will use software encode / decode which means you will have better color clarity, but could have worse performance.

Note:

We offer a Legacy Compatible mode option; however, we do not suggest checking this option only if you have any issues (if so, we will suggest you can contact Splashtop Support) during the remote session after upgrading to 3520, e.g. black screen, worse performance, etc.
