What is the Request Permission option?

Requires Streamer version 3.1.6.0 or newer

This feature is intended for connecting to remote computers when a user may be at the computer.

  • Reject connection after request expires (At login screen, reject automatically)
    • A popup shows on the remote computer to Accept or Decline, if nothing is clicked within a period of time (30 seconds), the connection will automatically decline. If the computer is not logged into a user, and is at the login screen, it will bypass the request permission option and disconnect immediately.

    • A popup shows on the remote computer to Accept or Decline, if nothing is clicked within a period of time (30 seconds), the connection will automatically decline. If the computer is not logged into a user, and is at the login screen, it will bypass the request permission option and connect automatically.
  • Allow connection after request expires
    • A popup shows on the remote computer to Accept or Decline, if nothing is clicked within a period of time (30 seconds), the connection will automatically accept.

Notes:

  • If the streamer is a Login Streamer, this feature is bypassed if you're connecting using the Splashtop Account that is logged into the streamer.
  • If the computer is locked or at the login screen, this function is not utilized. (With 3380 or later streamer, the function will also work at locked or login screen.)
