What is the Request Permission option?

Requires Streamer version 3.1.6.0 or newer

Splashtop Streamer request permission to connect

This feature is intended for connecting to remote computers when a user may be at the computer.

  • Reject connection after request expires
    • A popup shows on the remote computer to Accept or Decline, if nothing is clicked within a period of time (30 seconds), the connection will automatically decline.
  • Allow connection after request expires
    • A popup shows on the remote computer to Accept or Decline, if nothing is clicked within a period of time (30 seconds), the connection will automatically accept.

Notes:

  • If the streamer is a login streamer, this feature is bypassed.
  • If the computer is locked or at the login screen, this function is not utilized.

    what is the period of time? 60 sec|? 2 days?

    It takes 30 seconds for the request to expire.

    What's the exact process to enable this feature? I've enable the feature on a user, had him login and tried to remote in, but user never received the request?

    If the streamer is logged in with the account directly, the Request Permission feature is bypassed since you are logged in with the same account that you are connecting from. You can update to the deployed streamer and then the Request Permission feature will not be bypassed.
