How to Issue a Taiwan Electronic Invoice (GUI Invoice)

1. What is a Taiwan Electronic Invoice (GUI Invoice)?

If your billing address is located in Taiwan, Splashtop will issue an electronic Government Uniform Invoice (GUI invoice) in accordance with Taiwan regulations.
The electronic invoice will be sent via email. You will receive an email regarding your electronic invoice after the purchase.

2. Currency and Checkout Information

If you access the checkout page from outside Taiwan (non-Taiwan IP), but your billing address is in Taiwan:
You may choose one of the following payment currencies:

  • USD (US Dollar)
  • TWD (New Taiwan Dollar)

However, the following rules will still apply:

  • A Taiwan electronic invoice will still be issued
  • The invoice amount will be displayed in New Taiwan Dollar (NTD)
  • Taiwan VAT (5%) will still be charged

3. Taiwan VAT Information

All orders with a Taiwan billing address are required to include 5% Taiwan VAT in accordance with local regulations.

This rule applies regardless of:

  • The payment currency selected
  • The IP location used during checkout

4. How to Set Up Taiwan Electronic Invoice Information

When making a subscription, after filling out a Taiwan billing address, you will see fields for the following invoice information:

  • Company Name (Invoice Title)
  • Tax ID number (Unified Business Number /GUI Number)
  • Carrier Option
  • Carrier Number

You may fill in or select the electronic invoice information you would like to use.

5. If You Did Not Receive the Electronic Invoice

If you did not receive your electronic invoice email, please contact Splashtop Support for assistance with verification and resending.
