Comparison of Legacy and New UI in Splashtop SOS

Splashtop SOS has introduced a new user interface to enhance usability and streamline user and session management. This guide compares the key differences between the Legacy and New SOS UI, covering both user setup and session initiation workflows.


Managing Users (Attended Access)

Navigation Path Go to SOS tab >
Click the Invite Technicians icon
Go to Management tab > Users >
Click the Invite Users icon
Invite Method Enter email(s), optional message, and send invitation Select Remote support as License Type when inviting
Granular Control Not applicable  In Users list, click gear icon in Granular Controls column to enable attended access (grayed out if disabled)

Starting a SOS Session

Session Invitation

In the Business App:

SOS > Invite User to generate instructions (email or clipboard)

Same process:

SOS > Invite User in Business App

Connecting to Device In Business App:
Click SOS icon or SOS > Connect to user’s device, then enter 9-digit code
Same flow:
SOS icon or SOS > Connect to user’s device, enter 9-digit code in Business App
Web Console Access Launch session from SOS tab
