Invite users using CSV

This is the article for inviting users, not importing SSO users. If you would like to import SSO users via CSV file, please go to this article.

  1. From the web console(Global/EU/OC), go to the users page.
     
  2. Click on the invite users icon.


     
  3. You can now import the email addresses as well as the display names and the group the users should be linked to.

 

Available fields

  1. Splashtop account: Enter the email address that will be associated to the invited user's account.
  2. Group: If you would like to invite the user to a group, please enter the group's name.
  3. Display name: If you wish the user to have a display name, please enter it. 
    • If you do not enter anything, the name will be the email address.
  4. License type: If you do have both Support and Access license types in your subscription, you will have the possibility to enter the license you want the user to be associated with. 
    • If you do not enter anything, the user will be associated to an access license. 
    • If you only have support licenses, the user will be associated to a support license. 
  5. Role: For Admin and Member roles, you can also enter it directly in the CSV file. 
    • Only the owner and super admins can assign the Admin role to a user.
    • If you leave it blank, the user will be invited as a member. 

 

Notes / Troubleshooting

  • If the the imported users number is exceeding the limit of your plan, some users will not be imported/invited and you will be notified by email with the list of the failed imports / invites.
  • The users will be automatically imported to Remote Access license type. If you want to have them on a Technician license type, you will need to change it following this article.
  • Please look at the csv example file in this article to know how to correctly enter the information needed.
