Splashtop is currently investigating a possible issue with MacOS 10.14, 10.15, and Streamer version 3.8.2.0.
Possible Symptoms:
Remote computer is offline/grey in the Business app and web portal
Streamer app shows connection error in app
Opening Streamer shows "Allow Access" button, but clicking causes the app to be stuck loading or the app restarts in the same loop
Current workaround:
- Uninstall the 3.8.2.0 Streamer that is currently installed.
- Download and install our previous version (3.8.0.4): Splashtop Streamer 3.8.0.4
- This is a blank Streamer, so you will need to add your teams deployment code to the Streamer to
link the remote computer to your team.
Go to my.splashtop.com/my.splashtop.eu -> Management -> Deployment -> Then copy the Deployment code in the Code column and paste it into the newly installed Streamer. - Lastly, we need to make it so the Streamer does not auto-update back to version 3.8.2.0.
Please enter this command into the Terminal:
sudo touch /Users/Shared/SplashtopStreamer/com.splashtop.updater.disable
If you are unable to get your Streamer working, please open a support ticket.
